Our charitable giving is driven by associate interest and involvement. Behind each donation, there’s an associate—and often that associate’s family—who dedicate their time or resources to a cause in which they believe.

Each year, our associates support more than 2,000 nonprofit organizations. In turn, The Capital Group Companies and its Charitable Foundation enhance that support with additional funding in the form of grants and matching gifts. During the past 10 years, we've have contributed more than US$200 million to charitable organizations around the world. And it’s all because of our associates.

Our programs

• Associate Matching Gifts Program
  Associates’ personal contributions to charitable organizations are matched two-for-one, up to a maximum of US$5,000 in matching funds per fiscal year.
• Dollars for Doers
  Associates who volunteer can turn their volunteer time into dollars. Every 10 hours of volunteer time equates to a US$100 contribution to an eligible nonprofit, up to a maximum of US$500 per fiscal year.
• Grant Making Program
  Associates who volunteer or serve on the board of an eligible nonprofit can request a grant on that organization’s behalf.
• Anniversary Gift Program
  To celebrate long-tenured associates, the company makes a contribution to a nonprofit organization of the associate’s choosing at each fifth anniversary of employment.
