Health care

Our health care program offers you a choice of PPO/PPO Plus and HMO or EPO plan options, depending on your location, as well as vision and dental plan options, designed to help meet your family's needs.

  • Coverage for you and your eligible family members begins on your first day of employment—no waiting period.
  • Our premier medical PPO Plus plan pays up to 90% of usual and customary charges,* and covers a range of services not found in many other plans—including well-baby care, alternative procedures, chiropractic care and routine physicals. Our basic PPO plan also provides a comprehensive and generous level of benefits.
  • Our medical EPO and HMO plans can save you money while providing a full array of services, including fully paid maternity care, routine physicals and well-baby care. (Note: The EPO plan is an HMO-like plan offered to associates residing outside of California. The HMO plan is only available to associates residing in California.)

We make every effort to keep your cost affordable. Current contributions for full-time associates range from $75–$105 (associate only) to $210–$315 (associate plus family) per month for medical coverage. On average, the Capital Group covers 80 percent of the total cost of health coverage.

Life insurance

Generally, associates automatically receive basic life insurance of two times their annual base salary rounded up to the nearest $50,000, in addition to company-provided personal accident insurance and business travel accident insurance. Additional life insurance is available at competitive rates.
